#SelfCareSeptember Day 16 asks that you "leave positive messages for yourself to see regularly". These can be on your door, in a notebook, by your bed, in a pocket, wherever works. I use versions of these templates, posted on my door. Just a suggestion...

When clearing up after today's #SchoolLibraryDND game, I found a #LibraryCats Wall status update from some S1s 😹😻. We're definitely starting to run out of space! 🙀

#SelfCareSeptember Day 17 (yesterday) was "No plans day", with the instruction to "Make time to slow down & be kind to yourself". Sadly for me, a vile lurgy forced me to cancel my evening plans & to slow down with some hot soup & a very early night instead. Whimper. 🤧🥶

Back on track with #SelfCareSeptember, but Day 18's prompt is giving me serious pause: "Ask a trusted friend to tell you what strengths they see in you". Eek! It's rare that I use the full power of the Librarian Shhh!, but today be that day.🤫

Somewhere under all the snacks, a ##SchoolLibraryDND game happened.

As all Lourdes RC Secondary pupils will of course be devastated having to spend 2 whole days away from school, here's some good news! There'll be a 2nd #PokemonCards swap event at lunch on Wed 25/09, if you couldn't come along last time. If you #GottaCatchThemAll, you gotta be there!

It's been 3 days since #SelfCareSeptember Day 19: "notice what you are feeling, without any judgement". It was a busy week, so I felt mostly tired but happy about a good week's work, with 3 English@Lourdes S1 Libby, by OverDrive sessions & 1 Lourdes Social Subs AdvH Mods eresources intro.

Celebrating #MathsWeekScot 2024 in the Lourdes RC Secondary #SchoolLibrary with - of course! - a book display! Lots to choose from for pupils of all ages! Get them before Lourdes Maths Dept borrows everything!

The 2nd #PokemonCards swap in the Lourdes RC Secondary #SchoolLibrary went really well; thanks again to S3 Matei for organising & running it. Lunch was too busy to get photos but thanks also go to S1 Victoria for her #Pokemon display poster.

#Inktober2024 has started 1 day behind in Lourdes RC Secondary #SchoolLibrary because of library opening hours, but an excellent Day 1 Backpack artwork has already been put on the wall by S4 Miriam. Meet .... The Amazing Cat Bag! 😻😻

I never completed #SelfCareSeptember on time, but the ideas remain important. So here's a glut of posts to see it through. Day 23 "Let go of other people's expectations of you". For me it's about getting all the #SchoolLibrary work done but not having All The Stress alongside.

#SelfCareSeptember Day 24 "Accept yourself & remember that you are worthy of love". While #SchoolLibrary life can be tough, some pupils remind me daily how much the library means to them, with a side of joyous & unpredictable insanity, as shown in the Library whiteboard below.

#SelfCareSeptember Day 25: Avoid saying I should, & make time to do nothing. It's not easy for anyone mid-school week. Regardless of the day of the week, it's a perfect idea. So when I got home, I spent time with my kitties & ignored the "To Do"s in my head. Cat art by micklyn

The #SelfCareSeptember Day 27 prompt came at a perfect time - the 1st day of the long weekend! By not having plans to go into school as usual, I freed up a lot of time to have a quiet day ahead of a busy weekend. The #LibraryCats were also thrilled to have me home for the day.
