I agree with Chad. Without the Protestant reformation we would never have gotten the sexual revolution, gay marriage, trans kids, no fault divorce, or any other civilization destroying plague all done in the name of liberty. Without the reformation America would be Catholic and

I have no problem admitting this. I think it’s at the root of many of our problems. The United States was the first western polity since Constantine to not acknowledge Christ as King in its public law. We have been uniquely good in some ways. Uniquely and undeniably wicked in

If all the popes and saints time travelled to 2025 would they recognize Jeff’s mass and the messages he hears from the pulpit or Mike’s? That’s all you need to ask yourself.

In my book on the Papacy, I cover why this “receptionism” view is unworkable. It destroys the function of doctrine in the Church, and no Orthodox Christian should espouse it

The next Doctor of the Church is one who was skeptical of the trend of an ecumenical council, hoped for a different pope, & repeatedly insisted on the centrality of tradition. If Newman were on faculty at Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit, he'd be fired. lifesitenews.com/blogs/pope-fra…

“The Mass, said in Latin, is the same all over the world. Go where you will, the language is the same; and such unity is in itself a great good, far greater than would be the mere understanding of the words.” — John Henry Newman, “On the Use of the Latin Language in the Services

As a cradle Catholic (baptized at 11 days old), I suggest otherwise. The reason why some cradle Catholics can't stand converts is because converts tend to *actually* believe in the Church's teachings, which threatens the cradles' tendency to treat the faith like a social club.

This is what liberal Catholicism is reduced to: old, gray and bitter that future generations are doing what they could have, but didn't.

Nearly everything young seekers find in orthodoxy is available in traditional Catholicism. Such a sorry and pity the church discarded so much of it.

The longer your career lasts, the more valuable not crashing out becomes. You have to compete, but sometimes you do see competition flame out from a divorce, a fit of rage, a bender, an ayahuasca "awakening"... You dont have to win every day so long as you avoid the big loss.

As a former homeless person, I’ll tell you the reality of homeless people. After being homeless for 3 months at 18, I realized these homeless were not the same as me. Their minds were perverted and irreversibly damaged by willing drug use and willingly being on the streets due

Cessationism is such a dismal sad view. Imagine believing that God does all of these incredible miracles and divine interventions for His people to help them, and the world of the Bible is such a mystical place where God is so close and then...He stopped and left the world.
