This year on Neuroverse we are celebrating International Women's Day❤️🔥with a conversation with Professor Sohier Elneil. I am truly in awe of her resilience, wholeheartedness, optimism, and commitment to empowering women's voices in the field of women's health🌍! Listen⬇️⬇️⬇️

2 postdoc positions in my lab @ King's College London CDN | King's College. Please apply if you'd like to understand neural circuits of cognition in mice, using 2p, 3p imaging, holographic optostim, flexible behaviour & more! Please RT! Links kcl.ac.uk/jobs/087206-re… khanlab.net

We (dkNeuroLab) are looking for postdocs to join our lab at King's CDN | King's College in sunny London to study how the cerebellum collaborate with different forebrain regions in the execution of goal-directed behaviour. Please share! Link to apply here: kcl.ac.uk/jobs/088287-re…

One of my favourite episodes we've ever recorded! Absolutely loved talking to Elodie Freymann (PhD) about her amazing work on chimpanzee self-medication, and the holistic approaches of evolutionary anthropology. Highly recommend checking it out⤵️

3D printing in labs enables custom tool creation. In this blog, Vincenzo Mastrolia, Research Associate in the Juan Burrone Lab King's College London, shares his insights and tips on software and equipment for unique experimental designs using 3D printers. Read more here buff.ly/3Sefx04

Very happy our cautionary tale of GECI expression in the hippocampus is out in eLife - the journal. elifesciences.org/articles/93804 We describe Ca2+ waves though the hippocampus. Mesmerising but artefact of GECI expression. Also a tweet print x.com/tonykellyEU/st…. 1/3

Got to catch up with Scientifica and talk about Neuroverse at FENS. Very grateful for this collaboration with our “Tools for Looking into the Brain” series, and feeling excited about the future of Neuroverse😃

Join us for your #PhD in fully funded Medical Research Council studentship to work in my lab CDN | King's College King's College London together with Dimitar Kostadinov on Experience-dependent plasticity in the zebrafish brain. Check out KCL MRC DTP catalogue NS-MH2025_16 #MRCDTP25

Are you interested in doing a PhD? Apply now for the KCL MRC DTP programme, a fully funded #PhD studentship King's College London, #MRCDTP25. Project co-supervised by Beatriz Rico and Benedikt Beninger. kcl-mrcdtp.com/project/cortic…

Our paper on glia-to-neuron conversion is out in Science Advances. We generated neurons with the capacity of true high-frequency action potential firing and expressing parvalbumin from early cortical astrocytes in vivo💥👇🏻🧵 science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

We think that all memory is stored in the brain. But our study published today in Nature Communications shows that all cells—even kidney cells—can count, detect patterns, store memories, and do so similarly to brain cells. My first (co)corresponding author paper!🧵nature.com/articles/s4146…

Delighted to see this out! A great story by Benjamin Compans and Vincenzo Mastrolia with the help of Clara Lenherr. Nanoscale plasticity of axo-axonic synapses at the AIS. Enjoy!
