Lee Lab graduate student Tanner presented a poster at the Johnson Cancer Research Center Data Blitz last week. Tanner’s poster displayed her current research on limiting Klebsiella pneumoniae adherence to colon cells and how that reduces host inflammation and lowers cancer risk.

Undergrad student Summer has been working on her own project. Her project focuses on pure culturing fungi from soil samples that originate from dry and wet soil environments. Her goal is to be able to get an idea of which fungi are more abundant in one environment over the other.

The 2nd project of my PhD work is now live. We showed strong associations of plant-derived metabolite trimethyllysine and rhizobiome function, on mechanisms of rhizosphere recruitment and the microbial capacity to enhance plant's drought stress resilience shorturl.at/mivJs
