Deputy Minister Buti Manamela will visit the SANSA for a Space Day on Thursday, 23 February 2023 at Hermanus, Western Cape. The Deputy Minister will be joined by a group of local learners from Zwelihle Primary to participate in hands-on science activities.

The SANSA Space Weather Centre is reporting a strong G3 storm with a KP 7 is currently in progress.

The Hermanus K index is 5. The solar wind speed is at slightly elevated levels with speed ranging from 430-500 km/s. EVENTS; A severe/G4 storm in progress. SYSTEMS THAT MAY BE AFFECTED; GNSS application and HF communication.
