Different dot formations were shown on the big screen. Students were asked to identify how many they saw and worked in pairs to show their thinking. Oak Creek PS

Working on our fine motor skills and strengthening our small muscles in our fingers. Weaving birds nests. One student commented, “It’s like a pattern! In, out, in, out.” Oak Creek PS
We call these rainbow sight word clouds! They’re displayed in the classroom, down low on the wall. Students will refer to them as they practice reading and writing some high frequency words. Oak Creek PS
A staple in our classroom: white boards, 10 frames & loose parts. Students create their own number games and share their ideas with one another. Oak Creek PS
Our awesome music teacher Stephanie Shantz introduced us to some new instruments. Students took turns, explored the new sounds and used their instruments at different parts of a song they learned! Oak Creek PS
‘Stamp it, Write it’ was a popular activity. Students practiced stretching out the words and noticing the sounds they heard to help them write. Oak Creek PS

We learned a new game called ‘Boo!’ Pull a piece of paper from the box, read out the number, pass the box along the circle. If you pull the ghost out, try and scare us with a big loud BOO! 👻 Oak Creek PS
