Your House is having a lively debate on SF 109 - Prohibiting Chemical Abortions. Reminds me of my history lesson about ancient Egyptian women inserting crocodile dung into their vagina, using it for birth control or to cause an abortion.

I am sorry to report that SF 133 - Student Eligibility in Interscholastic Sports passed out of House Appropriations this afternoon after limited public testimony. The appropriation for the commission and litigation was also removed.

Rep Liz Storer is making a last ditch run at property tax relief via amendments to SJ 03 - Property Tax Exemption. Out of 21 bills proposing solutions to rising values, HB 99 and this resolution to amend our Constitution are the only ones left standing. Fingers crossed.

After minimal conversation, the House has concurred with the Senate's position on HB 125 - Life is a Human Right Act, prohibiting abortion in the Equality State. 49 Ayes, 10 Nos, 3 Excused. It now heads to the Governor's desk for his signature.

This afternoon the Governor signed HB 04 - Medicaid Twelve Month Postpartum Coverage for moms and babies into law. This is a big win for Wyoming families, providing a safety net for women and their children. #healthywy

Sherwood helped secure $10 million for affordable housing grants. She also advocated, unsuccessfully, for a bill that would have empowered communities to identify and address abandoned buildings. laramiereporter.substack.com/p/2023-session…
