These numbers are totally unheard of. This is not something that can reverse overnight. I saw glimpse of issues while a PI in the US with international talent recruitment and retention about a decade ago, but this is beyond technicalities and paperwork delays. This is huge.

Very interesting ranking. Creativity is absolutely necessary for the development of innovations in engineering and life science research. Fostered in a culture of academic excellence, creativity can become a powerful asset for economic development.
