I had the pleasure to attend MacNeill Schools Kindness Assembly. Awards were handed out for winners of the writing contest and for students who were caught doing random acts of kindness. Wonderful musical performances and a fun tribute to teachers for #teacherappreciationweek.

I was happy to attend MacNeill Public Elementary School Book Madness. A really fun way to engage students in literacy. Both books were fun and silly, but also taught valuable lessons in sharing and kindness. Students voted on their favorite book and in the end Sir Simon won!

This morning Trustees were welcomed into Ecole Thom Collegiate. It was a pleasure to see these amazing teachers in action. We listened to staff and students talk about the challenges and successes. The students were raving about the incredible staff at Thom!

Through May–Early Childhood Education Month, Regina Public Schools, Supporting Early Years Growth, will post language learning tips. Tip for today–use a new word and explain it using simpler and familiar words while playing with your child.

These are Regina Public Schools staff. After a day of educating students and running a school, they get on their paint clothes and paint a rainbow walkway so all students feel welcome and accepted. École Elsie Mironuck School will be celebrating Pride in style this year.

Thank you to Principal McGurran for the tour today. École Centennial School has incredible staff and students. The GSD did a great job on the Pride walkway. All the bulitin boards in the hallway were designed to celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day.
