Reeling from how wild Cedric in 'Love in a Cold Climate' is for a novel written 1949. Not as good as Lady Montdore, though. 'With her gimlet eye nothing escaped her, nor did any charitable inhibitions tone down her comments on what she had observed' - a manifesto for all writers.
