Protesters (and lots of media) are starting to gather for today's pro-Palestine #MarchontheDNC. Tens of thousands are expected to show up from across the US to rally and march just blocks from the United Center. Follow here for updates throughout the afternoon.

Protestors have made it to Park #578. They’ve so far stuck to the city’s approved route. They’ve got speakers pointed at the United Center and some marchers are up at the security perimeter. Chicago Sun-Times

Protestors have broken through part of the security perimeter near the United Center. They’re now attempting to break through the second barrier. “This could get weird,” one protestor said. Chicago Sun-Times

“What are we here for if to not break into the DNC?” One protestor shouts. Marshalls are trying to get people to return to the regular route. Chicago Sun-Times

Police have cornered protestors on the road between the two barriers. Chicago Sun-Times

A small group of people who are not part of the organizers that planned the #MarchontheDNC have broken through the first barrier security to the north of the United Center and are in a standoff with Chicago police. This is a small fraction of the thousands of protesters.

Everyone has been cleared out. Cops with batons line the first perimeter fence. At least four people were arrested. Chicago Sun-Times

The vast majority of the march is making it back to Union Park peacefully. The protestors who broke through make up a very small minority of the overall March on the DNC. Chicago Sun-Times
