I-80 WB is shut down at mile marker 130 in Parley’s Canyon after UHP says a drowsy truck driver veered off the road and hit a cement barrier tipping his trailer. I-80 anticipated to reopen by 9:00 this morning.

Flash Flood Watch again today for the southern part of UTAH! Keep an eye to the sky and stay out of the slot canyons as flash flooding is probable.

Flash flooding was so severe in Iron County overnight that 95 cars of a train was derailed by flood waters. Three people were injured. Also, an emergency vehicle was overtaken by water on it's way to help out at the scene.

Severe Thunderstorm Warnings have been issued for the northern end of the Wasatch Front extending down into Salt Lake & Tooele valleys. Warning in effect until 7:30 PM. We've already had winds as high as 73 MPH so far. Look for heavy rain, damaging winds, hail, & lightning.
