The plows are out on I-15 in the Salt Lake Valley,but it’s still snow packed. Stay off the roads if you can, snow coming down thick and heavy.

In the 2news #mobileweatherlab and it’s a mess! We just got out in Downtown SLC and there’s 6” of snow on the ground. As you can imagine roadways everywhere are a mess.

People already out shoveling and snow blowing. Reports already coming in at 3-7” for totals in the Wasatch Front and it is still snowing.

BIG TOTALS! Check out the latest from the National Weather Service. Places like Cottonwood Heights and West Valley have 11”+!!!!

A mix of rain and snow this morning into lunch-time. Little to no accumulation. Next storm arrives Tuesday with a little better totals. 1-3" valleys, 3-6" mountains.

I-80 WB is shut down at mile marker 130 in Parley’s Canyon after UHP says a drowsy truck driver veered off the road and hit a cement barrier tipping his trailer. I-80 anticipated to reopen by 9:00 this morning.

90s today for the first time in the Wasatch Front. Triple digits for the first time in St. George. Heatwave begins today.

Flash Flood Watch again today for the southern part of UTAH! Keep an eye to the sky and stay out of the slot canyons as flash flooding is probable.

Flash flooding was so severe in Iron County overnight that 95 cars of a train was derailed by flood waters. Three people were injured. Also, an emergency vehicle was overtaken by water on it's way to help out at the scene.

A few have tried to go for it, but they are bailing miles away from the runway. Inbound flights are turning around. Expect delays if you are planning to pick someone up from the airport tonight. KUTV2news Salt Lake City Airport

Severe Thunderstorm Warnings have been issued for the northern end of the Wasatch Front extending down into Salt Lake & Tooele valleys. Warning in effect until 7:30 PM. We've already had winds as high as 73 MPH so far. Look for heavy rain, damaging winds, hail, & lightning.

7:45 pm - Winds along I-80 in Wyoming are gusting 50 to 78 mph ahead of and along a line of thunderstorms! If you're driving this way, slow down or avoid travel until this line of storms have passed. #WYwx
