Dear Science Deniers, (Anti-vaxers, anti-maskers, climate hoaxers, flat-Earthers, etc) You found one another & communicate via stupefyingly advanced technologies that pivot on the discoveries of scientists. Just thought I’d remind you of that fact. Sincerely, Your Smart Phone

Day 1 done! Super interesting talks as expected - but I really miss doing these in person! Especially the poster sessions, those halls are buzzing with so much energy by the end of the night!! #cshlmcdnarep21

Science is not truth. Science is a method to look for the truth. When Science changes it's mind, it didn't lie to you. It learned more.

1/2 Listen. I am not interested in your academic achievements, publications, membership in prestigious associations, webinars and podcasts, and science outreach. If you are an #Indian #academic and not outraged by the harassment of a Muslim college student

As a first line of treatment for even suspected infections, 3rd gen antibiotics are prescribed. More bizarre is that local pharmacists are proxy docs and suggest any antibiotic, from ofloxacin to cefixime and provide it OTC when you so much as complain of a runny nose!

There’s a frequent perception among recent entrants to drug discovery world that if we could just find drug candidates faster, this will be a useful accelerant to the overall process. The issue is: this thinking is mostly (but not entirely) incorrect. 🧵 1/
