Back in Benin City, Nigeria with Dr. Akanimo Odon. Great to be back. Yesterday, we were invited to 25th Anniversary of Igbinedion University celebration. A wonderful day, with many high profile personalities attending, including two former Nigerian presidents. They know how to throw a party!

‘Heroes in the fire’ is a short film telling the story of local fire brigades risking their lives to tackle wildfires in the Amazon rainforest. Our own Professor Jos Barlow (@JosBarlow) commissioned the film after seeing the brigades during research trips studying the forest.
