Underneath a shady bush, Sun-dappled at midday, A muntjac in my garden Whiles the heat away. I wonder if he suffers, If muntjac life is tough, Or if, amongst those hardships, This one bliss is enough.

I thought I was in heaven, That I had surely died, And that this fox had been sent To be my spirit guide. But I could not follow when He turned and slipped away, Through the hedge to paradise... I'll die another day. #FoxOfTheDay

Nicest evening of the year yet. I went out with my camera and saw 3 or 4 roe deer. This doe was my best photo, wondering if she is pregnant... ?

I noticed that my camera had somehow, sometime slipped on to the wrong stability setting... I've long been thinking my photos should be sharper... this one of Woody very early today seems better, despite a high iso setting in the low light.

Looking across the Thames to Bourne End during a brief visit by the summer this afternoon.

Tall shadow (me in the rising summer solstice sun) and Ukrainian flag (about an hour later). Only too distant or too fast wildlife for photos today, but the 04.20 start was still worthwhile, making for a beautiful walk.

I just spent some more time chilling with Brother Fox this evening...
