A2: As a pre-service teacher, at the school I attend, I find that we all are accepted and understood when we speak out, everyone works together, and our teachers helps us in any way that they can. #WhatIsSchool

A2: Educators need to make it clear that school is about learning and growth, not just about grades. We need to care about the whole person. #whatisschool

A3: Where I attend, I agree with Ellen Deem in saying stress could get in the way. Consistently juggling everything at once becomes hard sometimes and that can very much affect what we are trying to achieve as teachers. #WhatIsSchool

A4: I believe that understanding your students is essential to minimizing disturbances, ensuring that you have trust in them so they can return that trust to you. Feedback that enables a growth mindset in everyone involved will always help grow a community at school #whatisschool

A6: Listen more, try to understand where each and every person's answers are coming from. It's important to understand your peers and the people around you. #whatisschool

A1: I think that we need to focus more on the mental health of students and faculty. As well as ensuring that they understand why we teach them what we do and showing the importance in that. Making sure we connect with each and every student to make sure they succeed. #IAedChat

A3: I believe that a device in the classroom could be beneficial but not for everyday use. I like the idea of occasionally using tech in the classroom for learning but not completely relying on it. #IAedChat

A4: disagree, I believe that with trust between student and staff through building relationships that we can get to a point where there's a flow in the class that students understand. I still believe that we have to put 100% in everyday regardless of how great we feel. #IAedchat

A5: I believe that we can never do enough to address bullying. I agree with what 𝔸𝕟𝕕𝕣𝕖𝕒 𝕋𝕠𝕨𝕟𝕤𝕝𝕖𝕪 questioned where we might not be leaning enough on our own community and that could also affect how we go about addressing those situations. #IAedchat

A6: These practices can be just as important as the curriculum that we are required to teach. We aren't only teaching them math, science, etc but we are also teaching them respect, responsibility, and more. We are teaching them to be people not just books of information #IAedChat

A7: Continuing to build those relationships with peers and staff and knowing that there is always room for improvement. As a T you can always learn and it's important to understand that going into it. Relationships have to happen before anything else. #IAedChat

I think that this statement falls under every part of the #DigitalCitizenship umbrella as it represents how to tweet respectfully and politely as if you were tweeting at yourself. You wouldn't want to be tweeted at disrespectfully, right? #edu219

This is a great representation of students learning and understanding what it means to be a "Super Digital Citizen" and coming up with ideas of superheroes that can help us all be "Super Digital Citizens"! #edu219

Here is an example of a week's worth of lesson plans to educate students on Digital Citizenship as well as some work that they can take home. Teaching can come in all different forms! #edu219
