This morning was a first! A LOYAL customer AND good friend picked up her cake and let me know I put the wrong name on the cake!! Could I fix it? No, because I was out of the area. Definitely, been feeling like 😭 all day! 😡

Teachers love Admin who: 1) Roll up their sleeves to help 2) Really listen 3) Present: in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, lunchroom 4) Value teachers time 5) Support/encourage them 6) Respect /value them 7) Have their back 8] Appreciate them

Cultural responsiveness isn't just about holidays or learning about cultures. It's about acknowledging & addressing systemic inequalities. #education

In 2023, I want you to listen to Black women educators the first time, not after when you need us to fix the mess.

Districts or schools that remove students from physical education, music, Arts, or other classes to remediate them in other areas, have no idea of the immediate and long term damage they are doing to these students. These may be classes that help them love school.

In education, we need to focus more on developing leaders and not just promoting people to leadership roles.
