Have been speaking to a few big 4 banks lately about home loans and none have heard of @tictochome who generally have the lowest basic rates. Incredibly weird to not know what’s happening in your market.

This and so much this. Currently chewing up $900 per week in physio costs for my 77 y-o father’s fall rehabilitation which is being prolonged because of a stroke he had at age 56. As well, he’s only in aged care because of stroke disability and gets no funding for his disability.

I’ve spent much of this year learning about car bloat, the process through which smaller vehicles are being replaced by increasingly massive SUVs and trucks. What I’ve learned: Huge cars are terrible for society, often in ways that are hidden. A summary 🧵

#agedcare friends - my dad is often told to wait 30-60mins when he asks to go to the toilet if it coincides with shift changeover or meal service. Is this normal or should I be complaining? He is lifted in a hoist so 2 staff are needed. It feels so undignified to wait so long.
