Only had to drive 5 minute north of my house to see my first tornado in about 2 years. Not something we see too often…especially heading into June in Georgia.

That’s very impressive for Ga standards in late May.

North Georgia has essentially become an extension of Florida at this point with the daily tropical downpours and humidity.

A caveat to the potential for hazardous heat on Wednesday is the increasing likelihood for afternoon storms, some strong to severe. A Marginal Risk is in effect for much of the area, and early development/increased cloud cover *could* tamp down some of our heat risk. #gawx

The microburst composite puts several parameters (CAPE, DCAPE, lapse rates, PWAT) into a formula and spits out a number. >= 9 means the chance of a microburst is "likely". Most of SC is at a 10 or 11 right now. #scwx

Kinda missing this

The next tropical system may occur sooner than later near the Southeast or Gulf Coast. With above-average oceanic warmth, it wouldn’t take much for an area of spin in the atmosphere to become a tropical depression or storm and carry copious amounts of moisture inland 🧵

You could live in the nicest neighborhood out there and have a high chance of your car window being smashed. It’s why I could never live in ATL.

I stayed there for a month but my summary was impatient people, aggressive drivers, expensive housing, and gloomy weather…my quality of life improved when I went back down south.

Unpopular opinion: Having a paid off vehicle makes you never want to get a car loan again.
