Academics in the humanities underestimate the rage produced by a profound disconnect: civil society broadly expects them to curate and preserve a common cultural heritage, while quite a few of them think their task is to criticize or even destroy that same heritage.

You may not agree with everything published in First Things, but you cannot deny that the stuff they are publishing lately is truly fascinating, innovative, and thought-provoking. We need more faith-based pubs taking risks the way they do.
