Dream Big. Do Excellent Work. Deliver Results. or ...... Accept Limitations. Go Halfway. Make Excuses. A clear choice, at least in my viewpoint.

Faith, Hope, and Trust. Trust in your work, preparation, and ability to complete the task. These qualities carry you through the toughest moments, and reinforcing them is a way to break free from a slump.

When we act WITH PURPOSE and ON PURPOSE, we are doing things INTENTIONALLY, and doing things INTENTIONALLY leads to positive results.

Detaching mentally or physically from a problem gives us space and perspective. Techniques like mindful breathing, taking a break, or changing environment help create this pause, enabling better decision-making.

Coaching, in reality, is hard. Coaches who connect with their players on a personal, individual level build the credibility, influence, and trust needed to reach and lead each player. In team sports, this must be repeated consistently with every single team member.

The wisest minds intentionally adopt a beginner's mindset. This approach fuels curiosity and open-mindedness, unlocking new opportunities to learn and grow. This is the antidote to stagnation, complacency, and arrogance.

I make mistakes, but I am NOT a mistake. I fail, but I am NOT a failure. I feel and I think, but I am NOT my feelings or my thoughts. The delta, as Brené Brown says, between actions and essence, has significant implications for one's mentality and mental health.

A habit is a regular practice that's hard to give up. If I do something repeatedly, I'm forming a habit. But what about the quality of how I perform these actions? It matters because habits alone don't produce results. High-Standard Habits lead to High-Level Performance.

Simple reminders about self-talk: 1) I am not my thoughts 2) My thoughts aren't always true or are rarely absolute truths 3) After I name the thought, I can focus on the most helpful next action, 4) by thinking about my values and goals. P.S. This also works for emotions.

To build momentum: Take the next most accessible step toward your goal or objective. Do it to the best of your ability. Then, take the next step, and the next, and the next. Momentum is built one step, one action, at a time.

Unfiltered self-criticism can lead to self-blame and self-handicapping, which are both ineffective strategies for success. Conversely, practicing self-compassion, engaging in contextual self-evaluation, and maintaining a balanced self-concept support successful performances.

Stress management techniques such as deliberate breathwork, mindfulness, meditation, grounding, yoga, or spiritual practices are effective ways to counterbalance the stress response and, therefore, can also serve as performance-enhancement tools.
