“Are you working it out with your mind, your tongue, your body? Or are you still the same miserable, cranky person, set on having your own way? If you are, it’s a lie to say that God has saved and sanctified you.” - Oswald Chambers

It’s not super hard to eat better and watch what you eat. Taco meat over a baked potato for lunch at work today. I’ve worked at my job for 9 months and brought my lunch every day but maybe 5x and that was due to them providing lunch on those days.

How do you know if you’re effectively guarding your heart and mind? Look at your words and deeds. Make sure you are inclined to wisdom through the things you consume through your eyes and ears, and see how that pours out of your actions.

“God is telling you about it because beneath it lies the great stronghold of obstinacy: “I won’t give up my right to myself.” This is the very thing God intends you to give up if you are going to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. Are you willing to obey your Lord?” -Oswald Chambers
