There were five different coding formats for the video game DALEK ATTACK. Oddly, the boxes for all these have this statement in German printed on them. Why only in German? And do print versions of these four translated instructions exist?

So sad to hear of the passing of the great Bernard Cribbins. He battled the Daleks several times. Here he is in comic strip form - in a 1978 Argentinian movie magazine adaptation of Daleks Invasion Earth 2150 AD. (Ya gotta love the green TARDIS!)

Maybe eight years on from dropping the "Ask The SFXperts" page we still get "Can you identify this?" questions in our inbox from time to time. Does this TV show ring any bells for anyone?

Rai 11 Febbraio 1980 - Maria Grazia Picchetti annuncia #DoctorWho L'Arca Spaziale. Ho restaurato un minimo lo sfondo ma non oso mettere mano anche alla signora, comunque fantastico pezzo di storia

Does anyone know where these gate posts are? It's apparently a well-known location in the UK, and has appeared on book and LP covers.

Can anyone provide the answer: I have several hardback books from 1979 that have exactly 154 pages in them. [there are no missing pgs] I always thought book-binding required signatures to be in even multiples of 4 (eg 128, 144, 160, etc). So how can there be 154 pages?

We've finished our work on the Ngāruawāhia section of the Waikato Expressway, and the speed limit is now 110km/h. If you're travelling north of Hamilton you now have a clear run on the expressway. We know our work has been disruptive – thanks very much for your patience.

I don’t understand the criticism aimed at the modern Doctor Who regeneration effects. Personally, I think they’re so effective they should be retroactively added to all classic stories as the standard.

50 years ago today (30 June 1975), NZ's second TV channel commenced broadcasts, albeit in Auckland and Christchurch only. Everything was now in colour (but we only had a b/w set). One of big-ticket highlights was Colditz, but best of all for me was a repeat of Thunderbirds!

In my idle moments, I got Dzine AI to animate loads of Doctor Who book covers, then asked Suno AI to write songs about them. I love this soul tune, about the inspirational effect on 70s kids of Target paperbacks by Terrance Dicks et al... Longer video in link 👇
