Born in 1905 in Jamaica, Una Marson was the BBC's first black radio producer and presenter. She was the voice of Calling the West Indies on what was then the BBC Empire Service, later the BBC Overseas Service and today's BBC World Service bbc.in/3CKVmyf #BBC100
Jeneque Pinnock ♔ The answer to that would be Jorge Penna a Brazilian coach that came to Jamaica in 1962 and totally modernized and changed Jamaica's approach to football in terms of preparation, playing style etc. Under his leadership he narrowly missed qualifying JAM for the 1966 World Cup.
Jeneque Pinnock ♔ JAM got to the final stage of qualifying in 1966 under Brazilian coach Jorge Penna. In a 3 team final qualifying group from which 2 qualified JAM lost 3 -2 to Mexico at home and drew 1 - 1 with Costa Rica and ended up 3rd. JAM love affair with Brazilian style football began then.
