The European Commission (EU Environment) has just released the first ever EU-wide ‘limits' for underwater noise. These threshold values contribute to governance on where and for how long marine habitats can be exposed to underwater noise. environment.ec.europa.eu/news/zero-poll…

New video! ✨ SATURN researchers from TSI traveled to Gran Canaria to measure the noise produced by a vessel in both deep and shallow water. With data from these tests, SATURN aims to better understand how to monitor underwater noise from ships.

The International Quiet Ocean Experiment (IQOE) is requesting input on a draft Ocean Sound Essential Ocean Variable (EOV) Implementation Plan, which guides the addition of acoustic observations to The Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS).
