If OpenAI's transition from non-profit to for-profit has no repercussions, or previous parties aren't allowed to partake and made whole, how can this not be deleterious for similar non-profits (re: funding)?

Is this truly only about AI? Or, is AI a scapegoat? If your company over-hired for decades like Twitter did pre-Elon Musk, why admit you were loose during the ZIRP era? AI is no doubt responsible for some, but all? Either way, this sucks; my prayers go out to the impacted.
