The expanded edition of #Welcome2America includes a full concert by Prince and the NPG at @TheForum in April 2011. One of the many special aspects of the Blu-ray is that it prominently features the late John Blackwell on drums, who played with Prince for 12 years.

John Blackwell first joined the NPG in 2000. "One night after the show Prince came up to me and said, 'My God, you’re unbelievable. I’ll see you soon.' I thought to myself, how’s he going to see me soon? He doesn’t even have my number," John told Nigel Marcotte.
