There can’t be another wave of this pandemic because I need to go see Dune in IMAX in October and only for that reason.

Yesterday was my final day as a writer at PIX11 News. It was a privilege to work for 4 years at a true NYC institution. On Monday, I will be starting as a segment producer at Cheddar. I am very excited to get to work.

Please Don’t Destroy is the best sketch group around right now. Was really happy to see SNL hired them as writers. It’s awesome that they are writing and starring in their own pre-taped sketches. I hope they eventually get added to the cast officially. Ben Marshall

Great AFGM story — when filming Tom Cruise’s coverage for this scene, Jack Nicholson still acted his heart out. Director @robreiner eventually said to him ‘Jack, maybe save a little bit for when the cameras are on you.’ And he replied, ‘Rob, you don’t understand — I love to act.’

Are the Olympics actually worse this year or are the Olympics like Christmas, in that each time you experience it, and as you get older and older, the novelty and excitement just gradually dissipates? Is that also just what all of life is? Totally not having an existential crisis

It was an absolute privilege to attend the North American premiere of MAESTRO. Bradley Cooper has leveled up as a filmmaker and gives perhaps the best performance of his career, and definitely his most transformative.  Carey Mulligan is too good for words.  Thank you #NYFF61

It doesn’t get much better than a new David Fincher movie at the Paris Theater. Two hours of a master filmmaker just absolutely flexing. Thank you #NYFF61 New York Film Festival The Killer Movie

THE BRUTALIST (Corbet, 2024): Saturdays are for going to New York Film Festival to watch a new American masterpiece. I don’t care if I get accused of recency bias or hyperbole — this is the best movie of the decade.

ANORA (Baker, 2024): To just say that this is the funniest movie of the year would not be enough to represent all that is great about it, but it is. Mikey Madison gives an instantly iconic performance. New York Film Festival #NYFF62

Josh Safdie said before the screening that Marty Supreme was written for Timothée Chalamet. It’s his first performance that showcases the full scope of what makes him such a good actor and performer — his aptitude for dense dialogue, pathos, charm and sense of humor. #NYFF63

Can Timothée Chalamet's creative promotion for MARTY SUPREME lead to strong box office results? I discuss with Perri Nemiroff on tonight's episode of "That's a Wrap" streaming on PIX11+ at 9:30 ET.
