This show is incredible. Common Side Effects (streaming on Max and/or Adult Swim) pulls a bait-and-switch where you think it's going to be this black-and-white conflict between an idealist genius and evil corporate/government goons but it doesn't let you off that easy...

This is a show about the crushing adult realization that critiquing a system is easy, disrupting/destroying it is harder, and actually building something better is a million times harder than any of those. There's a reason so many of us desire to remain pure and, thus, powerless.
