A man filming from his window captured the moment when Israeli forces who had injured a child with a sniper drone launched an airstrike on the site after people ran to his rescue. Imagine being scared to run to the rescue of an injured child because you could be killed for it.

In Canada, there was a time where as many as 1,000 owls lived in the old-growth forests of the Spuzzum Valley. Now, there’s just one. 💔 As the UN Biodiversity #COP16 kicks off in Colombia, this is a chance for world leaders to take BOLD ACTIONS for nature. 1/3

Palestinians didn’t “leave” in 1948. You “leave” a restaurant. We weren’t “displaced.” You can be “displaced” by a hurricane. We didn’t “flee.” A criminal “flees.” We were expelled for being the wrong kind of people. There’s a specific name for that: Ethnic Cleansing. Use

"Fifty of the world’s richest billionaires on average emit more carbon through their investments, private jets and yachts in just over an hour and a half than the average person does in their entire lifetime." climateandcapitalism.com/2024/10/28/the…

The richest 10% are responsible for 50% of emissions. The poorest 50% are responsible for 8% of emissions. We can't keep ignoring this stark reality.

The Walton family is a good case study. They own three super yachts - worth $500,000,000. These yachts released 18,000 tons of carbon last year. This is as much as 1700 Walmart workers, combined, emit in a year. (6/12)

You’ve been silent for over a year about women in Gaza using tent scraps due to lack of hygiene products, being forced to have c-sections without anaesthetics and their wombs removed in order to save their lives so forgive me if I don’t give a fuck about your hijab hot takes.

“The forest was shrinking but the trees kept voting for the axe, for the axe was clever and convinced the trees that because his handle was made of wood he was one of them.”

This obtuseness drives me *absolutely bonkers* and I won't let it go because I am right. If you can't manage economics, affordability, and class issues, then all the rest, well, that stuff is gonna be fucked. I don't love that it's true, but it's true.

I came across NurseTwitter posts. They’re all agreeing he’s much sicker than announced. They said congestive heart failure. I put what they were saying into ChatGPT, who said he’s got 1-3 years left, maximum. Could be in the next 12 months. Medically unfit to lead.
