We are excited to report the first structure of a full-length “large” Arf-GEF! Arnold Muccini, PhD used #cryoEM to determine structures of yeast Gea2 (GBF1 homolog) including a structure of Gea2 caught in the act of nucleotide exchange on Arf1: tinyurl.com/35eh2h6j (1/7)

We are very happy to share that our work on the #cryoEM structure of Gea2 activating the Arf1 GTPase #GolgiTime is now published in Cell Reports !! First-author @Arnold_Muccini recently joined @Biogen as a cryoEM Research Fellow ❄️🔬 tinyurl.com/mrx9ct6r

A big honor that is very well deserved Saket Rahul Bagde

Congratulations Jeremy Baskin and Pam Chang!

The Figure at the bottom of this graphic is from Jeremy Baskin's first-author paper as a Ph.D. student!!

Very excited to share our latest manuscript! Kaitlyn Manzer characterized the temporal dynamics of Arf1 inactivation during Golgi maturation by Arf-GAPs, and also showed that the late-Golgi GAP Age2 localizes through a membrane-binding amphipathic helix. tinyurl.com/2yj758v3

We are excited to share our new manuscript! The Arf-GEF Sec7 is a master regulator of Golgi and recycling endosome trafficking. Bryce Brownfield used #cryoEM to determine the long-awaited structure of full-length Sec7: tinyurl.com/2ee4psa6

Congratulations to Bryce Brownfield, we have wanted to know what Sec7 looks like for a very long time! And now the structure lets us ask more questions 🤓🧐

We are excited to share a new preprint from the lab! Rab6 is a central regulator of the Golgi, important for trafficking and autophagy. Ryan Feathers used #cryoEM to determine the structural basis of the Rab6 activation process. (1/9)
