For the last few years, one of the highlight events I have faithfully attended is the Veterans’ Appreciation Ceremony at the local county fair. This week, I attended and spoke at the Sharp County Fair event. Thank you for what you do in honoring these brave men and women!

On this day, at this hour, I married Macy Barnes. The last five years have went by so quickly. We have been so blessed to see many places, meet many people, and be a part of achieving each other’s dreams. Happy anniversary Macy! I love you! ❤️

Last week, I was honored to give the keynote address at the closing ceremony of Arkansas Boys State. As a proud alumnus of the program, this personally meant a lot to me. I hope my thoughts were encouraging and inspiring to this next generation of leaders!

I wish we were as passionate and committed to solving problems as we seem to be in cynically blaming others for them.

To my fellow teachers and school colleagues; Thank you for inspiring your students to reach higher academically and personally. Thank you for going above and beyond. Thank you for all the extra time you spend helping your students become the best versions of themselves.

Thank you teachers for being mentors, role models, and champions. Thank you for instilling in your students the knowledge, skills, and confidence they’ll need for college, career, and life. Your hard work, passion, and commitment are truly the heart and soul of your school!

We are checking on friends affected by last night’s storms. It broke our hearts to hear the meteorologists mention nearby towns and communities that sustained damage. We have walked those streets and visited those areas many times over the last few years. Please continue to pray!

Please continue to lift up in prayer all those affected by the recent storms and flooding in North Central Arkansas. We continue to see so many affected in our neighboring counties and towns who have lost so much. In all this, remember we are called to be a blessing to others!
