Three years on, there are no words.....

"Proper snow" is something that Jacob never ever experienced during his short life. So, imagine our surprise when this is what we woke up to on Sunday morning, the day after his passing. Archie and Alfred, built a snowman; he overlooked his room at the hospice.💔💔

Jess and Jacob both fighting the same cancer, but treating Great Ormond Street Hospital like a big playground. Bitter sweet memories.

On this December day, three years ago, we said our last goodbyes to Jacob. He will, howver, always remain in our hearts, minds and thoughts forever and a day.💔💔💔

Yesterday morning at 9am, the bravest person we know, our daughter Eva, finally rested. 12 months and 8 days of fighting - far stronger than anyone I know. I can’t begin to see how we can ever move forwards. You are always with us, in our hearts and minds, and we love you ❤️ 💔

Sadly, we know this hospital well. But, your sister is in great hands.

On the day before what would have been Jacob's 9th birthday, some memories from his time as mascot for Braintree Town FC. A fitting tribute, as Jacob was born in Braintree, Essex.

Hard to believe that four years have passed since we were last able to help Jacob celebrate his birthday. We had hoped he could come home, but he'd spent so much time in hospital, that he didn't seem to mind. Today, should have been his 9th birthday. There are no words💔💔💔💔💔

Wish Jacob's grandad well tomorrow (Sunday Oct 3rd) as he aims to complete his 2nd marathon in London, and 4th marathon to date.

This was 4 year's ago, today. "Just last week Jacob was kicking a football around with his much loved cousins. Today at 11am Jacob gained his Angel wings and joins all the other little soldiers who bravely fought neuroblastoma.Mummy and daddy will remember and love you forever" X

One of Jacob's friends, Jess, was much wiser than her years. She once said, "don't be sad, it's a waste of a day". Well, we'll do our best,; but it won't be easy.💔💔💔💔
