Redevelopment of a laboratory building in Oxford, prominently sited on the walk from the railway station into the town centre. The building's function remains the same, but its relationship to the street changes greatly.

From Ambassador Dennis Ross, former Middle East Envoy.
Why do so many western commentators completely ignore the central responsibility of Hamas for suffering in Gaza. It’s like they’ve been hypnotised.
It’s actually amazing how so many western liberals have allowed themselves…

Love this place names tool. The '-by' endings (in red) show you how far the vikings got (Leicestershire, basically) and 'Pen-' starts how the Britons fell back to the west when the Anglo-Saxons came.

Really bad mismanagement from GWR - standing room in every coach for their service (originally) due to arrive in London Paddington at 18:37. So packed people are even standing in the loos! No chance of reaching reserved seats, which of course have people in them.

Together with industry, we’re delivering the biggest reforms to the grid since the 1950s.

Since September alone we have secured £30bn of new private investment in our energy sector - on top of £200bn since 2010.
