Could solar get so cheap it can supply our base load even in winter. And in summer provide huge amounts of surplus electricity that can be stored in green steel/fertiliser /other energy heavy industries? Costs would tumble. Might be sooner than we think. notesfrompoland.com/2023/04/24/pol…

Striking rainfall run-off comparisons Broughton Hall Estate pre- (Jan 21) and post- (Jan 24) large-scale tree planting in former intensive sheep grazed pastures. Virtually identical rainfall in previous 4 weeks (131 mm v 133 mm). Big increase in infiltration and above-ground storage.
