#AlfieUpdate: another good sleep last night meant lots of energy for today’s walk (1km+). The boys showing off their new Liverpool kits, maybe shouldn’t have done it same day ISAK asks to leave Newcastle - lol. Cafe trip too for the boys.

#AlfieUpdate: best time/size that he’s had a good day; smiles & cuddles. Night feed done; fat, full & cuddles given

#AlfieUpdate: a bit of a change of exercises today & a chilled afternoon because someone was tired. I get all the good jobs.

#AlfieUpdate: when Rory has a friend over for a play date what does Alfie do? Simple he drags Grandad out for ‘US’ time and we go the park for treats…. (Shhh don’t tell Rory). Comes back to Teddy playing on his bike - he wasn’t very happy about that either.

#AlfieUpdate: 2 different smug faces - and one serious question, Does Death Hurt? (How do you go about answering that?) Alfie was working hard again today; needed a nap just after his tea - so he is going to be awake later.

#AlfieUpdate: sunny day means some artwork on the next batch of bespoke Alfie Clocks with Rory. Then it was movie chill time before tea. But someone sneaked on to the settee with me and found it hilarious….

#AlfieUpdate: nice sunny day for another walk in his frame (slightly longer at 1.3km - which is like a marathon for him). We split it into 2 parts; shorter 300m to the cafe & 1km round the lake back to the car. He loves the wooden bridges we have named them and the reeds.

#AlfieUpdate: Took the boys to the City Centre on the Metro and some fun. Outdoor cinema: the boys enjoyed 2 movies and some treats.

#AlfieUpdate: new sessions began today - hydrotherapy for him. After the usual hospital meltdown (trauma each visit), he calmed down to do the first session - which he really enjoyed. So much so that he refused to cooperate when time to get out (so he had 15mins longer lol)

#AlfieUpdate: Alfie has become a Triathlete in training officially yesterday; walking, riding & now swimming. Paralympian of the future.

#AlfieUpdate: Well that’s me done in the Northeast for a few weeks; back to Liverpool in the morning. Been fabulous spending time with them and going to Alfie’s therapies - A Walker, A Cyclist and now a Swimmer. His screams of delight going into the pool are amazing.

#AlfieUpdate: up early to go for a treat before going back to the Northwest. They chose to go the bookshop for a new one each. Rory chose a Dogman book & Alfie went for his Gruffalo book; no one getting it off him now. (They have loads of books but Alfie likes listening to his)

#ZonesOfRegulation: producing for 3D Printing ready for returning to school. 2 options of key rings or lanyards. The aim is to produce a quality/durable item at a low cost. (Already provided to a number of schools & nurseries). Any of my interest ask for a price.

#AlfieUpdate: life goes on even when I’m not there with them. He has become the ‘Bell Ringing Champion’ - simple task for us but a challenge for him. And today he continued his progress in the hydrotherapy sessions. (And I missed it. So a cold pint for me to celebrate.

#AlfieUpdate: after a few days rest back in the Northwest, it’s time to start the next batch of Alfie Clocks. This is the challenge to keep them bespoke…. Steps one, two & three to his clocks. This batch are looking fab.

#AlfieUpdate: after a short block of hydrotherapy sessions (4) the difference in Monster Boy’s mobility, flexibility & confidence has significantly improved. Session 1 - 3 weeks ago was all about floats/aides and the 4th session is all confidence. Thank you to the NHS Staff.
