Couldn’t agree more. A decade ago, my batchmates did ₹5K SIPs even on ₹23K salaries, despite not being in taxable slabs. Thanks to 80C, many now have six-figure savings. I bet 90% of today’s newcomers will never achieve this.

In her quest to push the new regime, she’s wiped out an entire generation’s savings, pensions, and insurance. My peers built solid funds thanks to the old regime. The current generation will realize this too late.

Imagine someone starting with earnings of less than 5k/month, working his ass off to grow up the ladder to earn 50L/month, only for the government to take its lion share of 30%+ with nothing in return. This is pure exploitation and loot.

RTA Telangana, especially Hyderabad CZ, is one of the most efficient govt bodies. Booked online, paid, got a checklist—no bribes, no waiting. Twice in the last month. Can’t guarantee pothole-free roads, a stable EPF website, or a single corruption-free service—even after extracting 50% in direct and indirect taxes. Yet, they lecture us on why people aren’t working on real innovations. Such a shame.

Happened with me too! The officer said the GST commissioner would get angry if they approved our application without a bribe. This was in Hyderabad—and I’m pretty sure it’s the same story across India.

While the middle class struggles to buy a first home, the rich are on their 3rd or 4th luxury properties. Instead of squeezing the middle class with 35% income tax and 28% GST, maybe Ministry of Finance should track the real rich.

Visited Goa once in 2017—never went back. You can get better hospitality and a more welcoming experience abroad, often on a smaller budget.

Coincidentally, none of these 23 countries stood with India in its fight against terrorism. But sure, let’s keep seeking their validation. 😂
