Scilly birders... We're going to Bryher mid October and I just heard Olivia's Cafe is closed for the season and trying to work out logistics. Does anywhere else serve breakfast?! Scott Reid Will Wagstaff
The Siberian Stonechat at Cromer showed beautifully this afternoon. I managed to collect a faecal sample and gave it to the finder, should hopefully confirm this as a straightforward maurus. With Dr Phil Saunders ๐ฌ๐ง ๐ช๐บ ๐ and James Lowen
Desert warbler at Winterton this morning! Norfolk finally getting in on the Eastern rarities! RareBirdAlertUK
First full day on Bryher. Very windy so bushes and trees were hard work but dotterel & hoopoe on the ground and the lesserlegs continued to show well. With Dr Phil Saunders ๐ฌ๐ง ๐ช๐บ ๐ @MikeHoit Keith Langdon Peter Moore
Not much new on Bryher today. The Dotterel continued to show to less than 5m and a Merlin hunted nearby. The Hoopoe flew over our house while we were having lunch and pitched down on Tresco. Sadly no American passerines materialised ๐. Dr Phil Saunders ๐ฌ๐ง ๐ช๐บ ๐ Peter Moore
Bird of the day was a Red-throated pipit, seen by Dr Phil Saunders ๐ฌ๐ง ๐ช๐บ ๐ but sadly heard only for me as I was deep in cover. Best of the rest - more flyover hawfinches, a Rouzel, a late yellow wag, woodcock, black redstart. Popped to Tresco for an hour and saw Serins & 2 lesser yellowlegs
A rainbow-filled (not bird-filled ๐ฅ) very blustery day. Capturing Dr Phil Saunders ๐ฌ๐ง ๐ช๐บ ๐ vomming a rainbow was a highlight. #tastetherainbow
