Welp, tonight I got stressed out setting up S's new play kitchen because he doesn't have enough storage space. Mama. Let's be real, this issue will (likely) plague him for the rest of his life. Time to get a grip & spend some time with adults, preferably w/ an adult beverage. 😂

I don't know to feel about our mall security guards smiling & waving at us so enthusiastically. I think they're charmed by S & the doggo (I mean, who wouldn't be?). But I'm concerned about how much time we're spending here getting coffee (mama) and riding the elevators (S). 😂

Sammy trying to explain why things are funny is a masterclass in bewildering the listener. He just gave an extremely complex explanation about why my comment, "it's Friday" was funny and I'm completely lost. He's so proud of himself though!

Ugh, took a massive tumble dashing across the street today. I'm okay! But, man, I can already feel the bruises forming and the soreness settling in. The next couple of days will be rough. So grateful for the several kind people who stopped to help!

Had a bit of a fraught time getting into the highway by the Seaport due to construction. But we made it and settled into our drive. Maybe 20 minutes in, Sammy thoughtfully said, "why do mamas say everyday "oh Christ?" My influence is evident! At least it wasn't another word?!?

We chose this resort for the amazing kid's pool (beach w/ zero entry, etc). So ofc it's been storming for days & the pools are closed. SUCH 1st world problems. But S went once & is so sad we've not gone again. Try explaining tropical storms to a 3 year old; I feel so bad for him.

My brother (6 years younger than me) used to watch this together! I completely forgot about it but it was such a bonding experience! What a weird and wild show.

S was taking orders in his play kitchen this evening. I requested some fresh fruit. A minute later he comes over with a cup, "I don't have any fruit, here's an espresso for you." Uh, ok! A few minutes later, he brings another cup, "you need more espresso." I mean, I AM tired.
