Walter Leal International Society of Chemical Ecology Alvin Hee ALAEQ Nisansala Perera Illy Husna Nirodha.Weeraratne Prof. William Bowers, well known for synthesis of 1st insect juvenile hormone, keeps insects at an immature state of development and prevents reproduction. He also discovered anti-juvenile hormone from plants, causes insects to become adults too soon and acts as an insecticide.

His name is William Sigmond Bowers, an insect physiologist. He is known for his discovery of insect anti-juvenile hormones in plants as a potential fourth generation insecticide and his other works on juvenile hormones. p/s: Thank you for this question, it's a good read for me!
