York Carers Centre 'We See You' installation is now on display in St. Helens Church in celebration of International Day of Older People.   York Carers Centre is a charity offering free support for unpaid carers in York.

Daryoush speaks about his full life as a psychiatric nurse, bringing up his family and the importance of faith and unity. He is proud to be able to guide others and encourage them to look at old people as they were and really are, and not simply go by superficial appearance.

Neil is proud of his achievements in the NHS and reflects that society is more accepting of people generally, regardless of their sexual persuasion or identity. With personal experience of supporting a loved one with dementia, he is very active in his local communities.

With a rich background in community organisations and at the University of York, Yvie recalls in being able to communicate, listen, hear what their issues are, to then see if she can help. She hopes that the next generation, recognises some of our achievements and builds on them.
