January 25 #OnThisDay in 2020 - Maarten (Martin) Hofman passed away. Martin Hofman was a friend of Sid and one of his contemporaries and member of the IBM and Sid Lorraine Hat & Rabbit Club. He was known professionally as Marlisto and lived in Cobourg. He mentored many young aspiring magicians.

… I learned that magic allows us to be so much bigger than we are. I learned we should be kind to one another and forgive people for being flawed and prideful. The one thing I know is that we can all do better, and I think we will.
