So sad to hear that Mike King has passed away. He helped out Tom Haworth and myself as MC and comedian at so many of Longridge CC Sportsman’s Dinners for over 20years . The funniest comic I have ever listened to. An absolute legend. Here he is pictured with a few other legends !

Estimates suggest that, at the peak of the pandemic in March 213,000 people caught Covid on a single day in London alone. Can anyone explain why 7,000 cases a day nationally is triggering talk of a second lockdown?

Another recent job completed Longridge CC top dressing and vertidraining followed by the drag mat 👌.Cricket outfield maintenance is an absolute must and timing is critical to catch any window of opportunity at the end of the season before the weather turns.

Famous #AVFC win inspired by Ollie Watkins nurtured by Exeter, Jack Grealish who was on loan at Notts County, Ezri Konsa, developed in League One with Charlton, Matty Cash, who went on loan to Dagenham and Dean Smith, who cut his cloth at Walsall. We must save lower league clubs.

Something so refreshing to see Liverpool, Man United and Man City getting absolutely hammered in recent games. Got to be good for the Premier League. Less so for all their so called “fans” who even before Covid 19 only ever watched them on the TV anyway.

Makes no sense whatsoever. You can listen to football chat in a relatively crowded indoor arena, but you can’t watch football with a limited crowd in an outdoor arena. 🤷🏼‍♂️

In these grim times a scene to bring a powerful mixture of joy and tears to the toughest of hearts. A wonderful bride to look after these amazing children. And it looks like she’s found a wonderful bridegroom. Must go. Something in my eye.

Great answer. The question - I think from Nick Robinson - suggested haggling over £5m was ‘showboating’ over a ‘relatively small amount of money’. This is what Burnham said:

Sad news today with the passing of Chris Clegg. Chris was the secretary of Longridge CC for many years and a Palace Shield umpire. A great man who contributed lot to our club Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
