Housing Secretary Shona Robison MSP officially opened the Wheatley Group East development. The new development, supported by over £9.5 million of @ScotGov funding, consists of 146 homes for social and midmarket rent, including homes to support older tenants to live independently.
Visiting the new Wheatley Group development Shona Robison MSP had the chance to hear how it is changing people’s lives. This development, supported by almost £22 million @ScotGov funding, includes a district heating system, helping cut carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty.

Paul McLennan - MSP for East Lothian On his first visit as Housing Minister, Paul McLennan - MSP for East Lothian visited the Letham Mains housing development in Haddington. He saw how £2.2 million of @ScotGov funding is supporting the delivery of 37 new build social rented units, including homes for older people and wheelchair users.
Housing Minister Paul McLennan - MSP for East Lothian opened Townhead House, a dementia-friendly development. Supported by £4.9 million Scottish Government funding, the 60 affordable homes built for social rent will allow people to live independently in their home for as long as possible.
The Eildon Housing Poynder Apartments in Kelso offer extra care housing for older people so that they can remain in their own homes. Today, Housing Minister Paul McLennan - MSP for East Lothian visited residents and took part in a tree-planting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the new site.
