Interim Commissioner of TN Dept of Health visited Hamblen County Health Dept Tuesday to learn about the services provided our citizens and plans for a new health dept bldg.

The new public safety radio system for Morristown and Hamblen County was unveiled Friday. All public safety personnel can now communicate using the same system and with no dead spots. We are the first community to fully implement the system with ALL agencies.

New traffics signals on the west side of town at S. Bellwood Rd and W. AJ Hwy were recently put into place. On Tuesday, May 23rd the new traffic signals will be turned on and operational. Motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists should be prepared to stop.
