Today, LAPD Officer Richard Medina ran 24 miles in full uniform, from Downtown LA to the spot in San Pedro where his partner, Officer Roberto Sanchez, was killed 5 years ago in the line of duty. A fitting tribute for a man we will never forget.

Harbor Area thanks the community members who honked and encouraged Ofcr Medina while he was running today. Together we are stronger 👮🏽‍♂️🤝🙋🏻‍♀️

When Officers visit schools, they never take for granted the significance of these special moments. Those young, smiling faces remind us of why we put on the badge — they count on us, and we vow to not let them down.
