Class 1 were learning about compass directions this morning. We used clues to find where the safari animals were hiding and then we had a go with real compasses. It was quite tricky but we enjoyed the challenge!

Class 1 have been creating photo stories as part of their computing this week. Lots of creativity on show and definitely some budding film directors!

Class 4 welcomed an Anglo Saxon warrior into school today! We enjoyed learning more about their battles, beliefs and way of life.

“If you don’t persevere you will never achieve your goals”. We reflected in our house groups on this term’s value of perseverance in collective worship this morning. “Jesus had to persevere to bring his teachings to everyone”.

Thank you to the performers who shared their talents with us in collective worship today. A wonderful range of skills on display.

Class 1 had a great afternoon programming the BeeBots and Blue Bots.

A great start to Arts Week in Class 1. We have been looking at the work of Vincent Van Gogh.

We had a trip down memory lane during collective worship this morning as Mr Smith shared photographs and memories from former pupils.

Pastor David Crunkhurn visited us today to present our Bronze RE Action Award on behalf of Gloucestershire SACRE. He was impressed by our friendly and knowledgeable Worship Committee. Well done everyone!

It was great to welcome back our Open the Book team this morning.

Congratulations to all our pupils who took part in the library challenge this summer. We saw lots of medals, badges and certificates in our collective worship this morning.

Thank you to Sophy Henn for opening our newly refurbished library for the infants this afternoon. We had a fantastic afternoon learning lots of life sized animal facts!

Thank you to the wonderful M. G. Leonard for visiting our school and opening the library with Year 6 library monitors! We loved hearing the first chapter of The Ice Children and can't wait to read the rest!

Class 1 enjoyed looking for signs of autumn in the outside classroom this afternoon.

Class 1 have had a wonderful morning making willow leaf crowns and then toasting marshmallows on the fire pit.

Class 1 created rockets to travel to the moon today, what fantastic imaginations!

Today we began Anti Bullying week with our Odd Socks Day. We thought about what bullying is and how it is different to banter. This week we will take part in more lessons about kindness and take time to consider what makes us each unique and special.

We really enjoyed our visit from local author Ben Harris this morning. He shared his wonderful new book The Christmas Swallow.
