Struggling to understand the Amazon/NYC situation. Was Amazon going to bring 25K new jobs or 25K new people? If the former, surely the 25K will find almost-as-good jobs and still pay taxes. If the latter, I understand the community's fear of gentrification and displacement.

Trust could be re-earned with an audit trail of consent for sharing of contact info. E.g. you could see that The Lego Movie got your contact info from your cable company and that your cable company's privacy policy allows them to sell your info.

This is a great thread. The problem is possibly more insidious. Goldman Sachs insists gender isn't factored into the credit decision, which is probably true on the surface. But bias can creep in by including other variables that track gender.
