Thank you to Una, our parent gardening volunteer, for working with the eco-committee and some Y2 pupils to sort out our compost heap. Hopefully we will be making our own compost by spring time. Eco-Schools Wales @GoytreFawr
After losing lots of our trees due to disease, several years ago, we planted lots of trees to replace them. They have grown well, and are finally taller than our children! The Tree Council Eco-Schools Wales Cambium Sustainable @GoytreFawr

Congratulations to the winners of our healthy lunchbox competition! Judged by the Eco & Wellbeing committees to have the most balanced lunch with least packaging. A super example to set for the whole school. Goytre Fawr Primary Eco-Schools Wales Hazel Clatworthy #healthylunchbox
Our lovely parent volunteer has helped us sort out our compost heap. Can’t wait to make our own compost for planting in the spring. 🌱 @GoytreFawr Eco-Schools Wales
Some lucky Y2 children got to work with our lovely parent volunteer to plant spring bulbs in the winter sunshine yesterday. ❤️@GoytreFawr Eco-Schools Wales
Trying to be quiet enough to spot the birds for the #bigschoolsbirdwatch 🤫 Dave the robin popped by to see us as usual, and a few blackbirds, but the rest of the birds we usually see were hiding away today. RSPB Cymru Eco-Schools Wales @GoytreFawr
The pots were washed and the new veggies planted and tucked away in the polytunnel. Looking forward to our next community feast with all the wonderful things we grow. Thanks to our super parent gardener for giving up her time to help us out. @GoytreFawr Eco-Schools Wales DysguAwyrAgoredCymru/OutdoorLearningWales
The chilly weather is perfect for creating these beautiful ice decorations. Da iawn Reception and Year 1. We guessed how long they would last - not long enough. 🥶❤️ @GoytreFawr Eco-Schools Wales DysguAwyrAgoredCymru/OutdoorLearningWales

Reception looking out for signs of spring. They spotted the daffodils starting to grow and buds on the trees. They built a den to spot the great tits checking out our bird boxes. #springwatch @GoytreFawr Eco-Schools Wales Cambium Sustainable Chris Packham Michaela Strachan
