A huge thanks to Jamie from Fast Forward for his honest, critical and responsive session on the links between gambling and gaming & the risks this poses to young people. Our year 2 Strathclyde Humanities & Social Sciences students learned so much that will inform their practice going forward👏🏼Strathclyde Institute of Education

Delighted to have welcomed an old friend Scott Mowat to work with #StrathBAPE4 on Clyde Primary’s approach to DYW. A re-focus on the importance of purpose, curiosity, and engagement of & for learning in our classrooms. Lots to inspire students into their final placements. TY🌟

Tonight, Professor Emeritus Kenneth Norrie gave the 22nd Kilbrandon Lecture at University of Strathclyde, querying who, in law, is a parent. He was introduced by Prof Neil Quinn (Neil Quinn), Head of Department of Social Work and Social Policy, and Prof Ian Rivers (Dean of Strathclyde Humanities & Social Sciences).

Delighted to be at the 22nd Kilbrandon lecture and hear from Prof. Norrie on parenting & parenthood. Fascinating insights for me, both professionally and personally. Claire Foy Ann Grierson and I were joined by some brilliant Strathclyde Institute of Education students #StrathBAPE 🌟

#StrathHiddenVoices & former Strathclyde Institute of Education students Roseanna Watt & Stuart Patterson taught 2nd year joint honour students about the impact of parental imprisonment on YP. Takeaway: The value we place on others & how this makes them feel is crucial in building a sense of belonging.

It was a tremendous privilege to speak to University of Strathclyde Strathclyde Institute of Education students last week on parental imprisonment. Drawing on personal and policy experience - let the kids know we care
